Alice In Chains Jar Of Flies / Sap on Limited Edition 180g 2LP

Originally issued in February 1992, half a year before Dirt was released, the largely acoustic Sap EP served as the direct follow-up to Alice In Chains' 1990 full-length debut Facelift. The 5-track affair shows a side of the band and their songwriting that was unknown until then, predominately acoustic-based material with guest appearances by Ann Wilson (Heart), Mark Arm (Mudhoney) and Chris Cornell (Soundgarden). 

Sap is packaged here with its also largely acoustic counterpart Jar Of Flies, a stunning 7-track EP issued in January 1994 in the wake of Dirt, and it finds the band exploring similar territory with arguably the best songwriting and arrangements of their career. Jar Of Flies was the first EP in music history to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart, producing the three successful singles "No Excuses," "I Stay Away" and "Don't Follow."
