Rare original 1964 US first pressing of The Alegre All Stars – El Manicero (Vol. 2) on Alegre Records (LPA-834). This album showcases the group’s masterful blend of Latin jazz, salsa, and descarga, featuring energetic rhythms, rich percussion, and classic ensemble arrangements.

Highlights include “Peanut Vender,” “El Sopon,” and “Bembe En La Luna.” The LP features performances by Charlie Palmieri (piano, leader), Bobby Rodriguez (bass), Kako (timbales), Joe Quijano (bongos), Chivirico Davila (vocals), Dioris Valladares (vocals), Pedro “Puchi” Boulong (trumpet), Mark Weinstein (trombone), and Jose “Chombo” Silva (tenor sax).
