Acid Ranch - As Forever - Never played

Here it is, one of the rarer entries in the recorded world of Robert Pollard/Guided by Voices.

The vinyl Acid Ranch As Forever release of 525 copies featured actual LP jackets from other artists that were hand-decorated using paint and a screen, resulting in unique LP covers. They were available mail order only in 2005 and sold out pretty much immediately, I think in 1 day or something. Not available in any other release or format. Each one unique and hand decorated by Robert Pollard, Rich Turiel (GBV/Bob tour manager who runs Rockathon Records), and Chris Slusarenko (former GBV bassist)

This particular copy was purchased by a friend of mine who was getting rid of his records. This copy has NEVER BEEN PLAYED. The album cover it was painted over is "Paul Williams - Just An Old Fashioned Love Song". Paul Williams wrote a number of the Carpenters hits (inc. "We've Only Just Begun") and has enjoyed a wild and interesting career in film and music, collaborating with the Muppets AND the Scissor Sisters, starring as Little Enos in the "Smokey and the Bandit Films", as the phantom in cult classic "Phantom of the Paradise" and writing songs for the Monkees and Three Dog Night. A fitting match for this unusual release.

This version has a PINK paint cover, which seems rarer than the more common BLUE. It also has very good coverage by the paint - see pics below. Some of them are very patchy.

Original Release information
The second release from Acid Ranch. The delightful sounds of Robert Pollard, Jimmy Pollard and Mitch Mitchell in the basement. Recorded in the early to mid 80s. 525 copies pressed. Each cover features a hand made screen over an already released album cover. Back cover has a hand pasted lyric sheet. Inside LP has no label on the vinyl.

Insurance

For UK orders over £36 in value and ALL overseas orders I strongly recommend you use an additional insurance/delivery service.

For UK orders - cost will be an additional £3 which will be for Royal Mail's next day delivery service.

For postage outside the UK, I will use "International Signed For", which costs an additional £3.50 for all countries, up to a value of £36. The costs for items over £36 will

be an additional £5.50

I regret that I cannot be held liable for items over £36 being lost and damaged in transit where insurance has not been taken out.

For items less than £36, I will always get proof of posting from the post office, to prove I have posted the item.
