Original 1987 french BLUE MOON mini LP(5 tracks 12"45rpm) :
FULL EXPERIENCE 5 UNRELEASED TRACKS AURA MEETS LEE SCRATCH PERRY AT BLACK ARK STUDIO
Prod Lee Perry. Backed by the Upsetters. Tracks are "Young gifted and broke", "Can't see you", "At midnite (when the clock strikes)", "Full experience", "Nar soh, so it stay".
Aura Lewis Msimang, who I personaly met twice at the time, was recording this music in 1977 with Candy McKenzie and Pamela Reed at the Ark. A full album was done, but some trouble happened when Aura decided to let Jimmy Cliff have the album which upset the Upsetter as was said. Then Scratch gave some master to Cliff who kept it - even a 7" was due to be issued on the Cliff's JA Sunpower label (a label was even printed) but some other tune, from an unknown group was edited instead. Soon later, Full Experience split with Candy recording another full album due for release by Island in may, 1977, but actually never issued (except a for Black Art 12"). Aura finally got 5 tracks out of the 12 recorded tunes (with a "Malaika" version !) and gave it to french Blue Moon, Jean Cotton. The 12" was sold at the shop with Jean, Fanny, Marie & Sorell in '87/'88 and was deleted since as never repressed. Aura did another 12" with Dennis Bovell for Blue Moon, entitled "Free Azania". Thanks to Jean who also made plenty pics at the Ark around 1980.
