Record condition: NM+, vinyl is in real good shape, i only see some scuffs on both sides, no scratches seen.

Cover condition: EX-, over has some wear like corner dings and some minor creases. the spine is perfect!

Their debut LP is one of the classics of metal/hardcore crossover. Whether you call it thrash, speedcore or anything else, this is basically fast & powerful HC with metal riffs, but compared to today’s metallic hardcore this is still firmly on the hardcore side. Great fast and powerful music. [8]

Crossover Insanity - 95%

I'm amazed that nobody has reviewed this album. Attitude Adjustment's American Paranoia is a paramount Crossover album. It has every element of the genre that harbors greatness. Speedy riffs, spastic drum beats, Hardcore vocals in the right places, and clean/spoken word vocals in others. What gave this album a 95 is the tempo. What didn't give it a 100 is the quality. There are some parts where it's hard to make out what is going on, and personally, I wish I could hear every second of this Crossover gem.

Every track on this album kicks ass. Each track flows right into the next perfectly. As one ends, you can't wait until the next begins. Dead Serious opens with a great riff, and then the vocals come in, with some back-ups. The fury of the vocals perfectly accent the guitar work. This track flows into Dope Fiend; a catchy thrasher that will have you headbanging from start to finish. It has a pretty nice false finish as well. DOPE FIEND! YOU ARE! A FOOL!

My favorite track on the album is Fuck Chuck. It's the cleanest track on the record, and the lyrics are amazing. "Had a few too many haven't ya!" "What's wrong with you!? You drive better drunk, dontcha!?" This track starts off with a killer riff and never lets go. Easily one of the best Crossover tracks in the history of the world. After each verse, that heavy riff comes back in and out. Finally, the track ends with a car wreck sample.

The next track, Gray World picks up right where Fuck Chuck left off. At this point, you've reached the heart of the album. This and the next few tracks will have you jumping off of the fucking walls. Honestly, this is an addicting album.

Hunger and Poverty is another killer track. The vocals are the stand outs here. "Hungry children in this world, who can they turn to? Nobody knows, nobody knows, nobody knows!" Jesus, if only this shit was a bit longer.

Incredible End has a great melody and blending of drum beats and bass. That's right, bass! At 2:28, this one seems to take forever to chug along, but that's not at all a bad thing. The fretwork is killer, and the drums are fucking gut busting. High hat, bass, high hat, bass, BAM BAM BAM. Total fucking destruction. The main riff on this one is also very memorable. However, it's an instrumental.

Overall, this is a masterpiece of Crossover. I'm glad I had the honor of giving Attitude Adjustment's American Paranoia it's first review. Dudes (and chicks), go out and pick this one up...if you can find it.

Well, after 30 years of collecting Punk & Hardcore vinyl I never thought this day would come. After switching to CD in the 1990s and then to MP3 in the 2000s, I can't justify keeping my collection any longer so I offer it to you. I started collecting back in 1982 in the San Francisco Bay area where most of my records were purchased new. I moved to Florida in 1986 and still collected up unto the late 1990s.

I have always treated my records with the most care. None of my original records are less then very good condition and most are in near mint condition. I did collect many used records over the years and also got many from friends that did not treat them so well. Those records will be described in detail as well. All records will be shipped with a protective plastic sleeve, vinyl removed from cover to protect spine during shipping and 12 inch records will be packaged in a LP designed cardboard mailer. 7 inch records will be packaged in comparable cardboard packaging. Only the best for my old records!

My grading:

MINT (M): New in original un-opened packaging, perfect, never played and like new in every way. I probably won't have many of these since all were played at least once & covers moved around for decades.

NEAR MINT (NM): Opened and played very few times, only very minor visual imperfections. Super clean cover.

EXCELLENT (EX): Played lightly and well cared for, a few light scuffs. Cover may have a few creases or imperfections. Still a very clean record and cover.

VERY GOOD (VG): Has scuffs or light scratches and noticeable signs of heavier wear and handling. Cover may have more visible wear, small rips or small seam splits.

GOOD (G): Has many scuffs and scratches, signs of heavy wear and handling. Cover shows obvious marks, creases, rips, tape, seam splits or wear, labels ripped or written on. Basically not cared for. (these records were the ones I purchased used or received from friends).

+/-: If I have a hard time putting either record or cover into a solid grade.

I am happy to offer a refund where the item does not match my description.
