Man I love this comp! This one is from 1984 and features some of the garden states finest!!!! Lots of tracks from the master tapes too! The cover is a riot It's got a pic of the Young Monkey Men performing in the own collapsable cage. The lead guitarist is 13 and he tears it up!!! If you dig garage like I do you will swing with this one! Comes with a liner notes a photo booklet too.
from an old review "Attack Of The New Jersey Teens" is a great new compilation of adolescent ravings from the Garden State, with no polished studio recordings and lots of fab photos and notes. This one puts Bona Fide's "Return Of The Young Pennsylvanians" to shame! For the most part it's fantastic. Undoubtedly the stars of this record are the Young Monkeymen, who prove their versatility with the sensitive strains of "I Love You" and the pounding Bo Diddliality of "I'm Waiting For The Letter." Not to be outdone though are the Friedles, led by fourteen year old Milt Fried, they come through with the best track on the album, "Don't Tell Me What To Say." Imagine Milt, decked out in his suit and Johnny Cash tie, screaming red-faced from behind his drums, "Don't tell me what to do, don't tell me what to say, `cos I ain't gonna listen to you anyway!!" You tell `em, Milt!
Original 1984 pressing on Bona Fide Records. The record is mint. Cover is Ex with some very faint tiny creases and a bit of a corner ding on the right bottom cover. .
