DESCRIPTION
Astrud Gilberto - “I Haven’t Got Anything Better To Do” Verve Records V6-8776 (Stereo) from 1969. Hard to Find Original 1969 First Pressing of this great Bossa Nova / Latin Jazz / Samba / Pop / Jazz Vocal album from "The Girl From Ipanema” Astrud Gilberto. Produced by Brooks Arthur. Backed by Arrangements and Conducting by Albert Gorgoni and featuring players including Wayne Andre, Tony Studd, Burt Collins, Art Kaplan, Gary Chester, Aiuto Morgira (aka Airto Moreira), Joe Venuto, Sam Brown, Richard Davis, Geore Duvivier, Stan Free, Frank Owens, Paul Griffin and more. Features songs mostly written by younger composers like Harry Nilsson, Jim Webb, Burt Bacharach and Hal David, etc. and in a more traditional Jazz Vocal style though still with lots of Bossa Nova / Samba feel. In the Original Sleeve with no Cutouts, promo markings or Barcode. Includes the Original Printed Verve Inner Sleeve. This is an MGM First Pressing as indicated by the Matrix / Runout Vinyl markings which read:

CONDITION
The Sleeve is in good shape. There is some shelf wear and corner softening / wear. There are a couple of what I think are tiny pen marks on the back but they might be part of the background photo? Super solid with no splits, stains, tears, etc. and would rate VG overall. The Vinyl itself is in clean Glossy condition. There are some scuffs, marks and hairlines including a couple visible ones - no actual scratches i.e. something felt with a fingernail. VG visually but plays better, mostly VG+ or better all through but there are a couple spots of faint groove noise and a few random soft tics - nothing that distracts and might be improved with a better cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush. The labels show a few faint spindle trails but are otherwise Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
