Here is another gem from my own mostly Nr Mint personal collection (which I am selling off gradually to lessen the pain...) I have been collecting very rare vinyl for a long time now. As a collector, I have been very critical about the condition of the records I have chosen to buy over the years, and only selected the most pristine 1st pressings from all over the UK.  My collection is therefore filled with not only the rarest UK 1st pressings, but also records of the highest grade quality condition, some of the best you will probably ever come across. Sadly, all will be finding new homes in the near future. As I said, I am very strict with my grading, so when I describe a record as Nr Mint - you can rest assured that it will be a true Nr Mint record (I never grade any records as Mint because Mint does not exist in the world of vintage vinyl - in my opinion, as soon as the record has been taken home from the store it is no longer Mint!!) I hope you enjoy my listings.

This is a real rarity - a Near Mint UK 1st pressing of Pacific Ocean Blue by the late Dennis Wilson. It has been archived since new in my own personal collection and was purchased from new on the day of release. A very rare album, and you will probably never see it again in Near Mint condition. Suitable for the highest grade Near Mint prog/psych/pop collection. It is pretty much the rarest of all UK Beach Boys related albums and is one of those IMPOSSIBLE albums to find nowadays, especially in flawless condition such as this - It just doesn't happen anymore, even on eBay! What make this rarer still is that it still has its original Rare insert - also Near Mint. Bad timing meant that this record was released just as punk was breaking in the UK and it was criminally overlooked as the kids were more interested in nose rings, attitude and all things Sex Pistols; the general perception being that bearded Californians had had their day. This is a real shame because a lot of people missed something very special here; this is a beautiful album, full of the flowing melodic sun-drenched ocean songs that permeated the Beach Boys best work. It finally gave Dennis the chance to step out of his genius brother's song writing shadow. However the songs also contain a certain fragility and a prophetic environmental awareness, with the weariness and paranoia of the approaching decade creeping through the album. Although giving is a dark edge it really that adds to the charm of this record, and gives an indication that Dennis may have shared some of the demons that tortured brother Brian.

Don't miss this rare record, as it sold in miniscule amounts, and remains one of the truly great 'lost' albums of the 1970's. The press run of this record was absolutely minimal! This vinyl is in stunning immaculate condition!!! The Classic 1st press Caribou Records centre labels are in pristine Near Mint condition with NO Tears, NO Peeling, NO Grubbyness, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! There are NO spindle lines on these labels whatsoever!!! Finding these labels with this kind of lack of spindle lines is impossible!!! Please see the close-up images I have provided below. I can safely tell you that this record has NEVER been played before except to play grade.  Play grading was done very lightly on a very high grade Mitchell turntable so, to all intents and purposes, it doesn't really count as an additional play. The gramophone rims containing the all-important 1st press Matrix are also obviously Mint!!!

As described above - the 1st press vinyl itself is in Stunning **Nr Mint** condition!!! There are NO Hairlines, NO Scratches, NO Groovewear, NO warping, NO Scuffs - Not even any Paperlines!!!! In fact there are NO blemishes of any kind!!! It is pristine!! Which brings me nicely along the the play-grade, and it is simply perfect!  It has a beautiful loud clear and defined 1st press stereo punch that will blow you away! There is NO hissing, crackles, pops, jumps etc, just the faintest background static can occasionally be heard between tracks. It plays like a dream! I can say nothing else about this chunky 1st press record - it's absolutely perfect and Near Mint!!! I can say without doubt that this is the best pressing you will ever see or hear! It is *Near Mint* both visually and aurally!

The Earliest 1st Press Shorepack un-laminated gatefold sleeve is also in superb condition! The only other times I have seen this sleeve it has been absolutely trashed. This one however is lovely, with NO Tears, NO Seam/Edge/Spine Wear, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind! It is completely blemish free!!! The un-laminated sleeve opens out perfectly to reveal a Nr Mint- un-laminated inner!   There is no wear at all to the spine (the spine text is also Near Mint) or opening edges, no ring-wear, no writing/scribbles etc, no discolouration and no blemishes. There is just one or two tiny hairline creases to the front side, but these are so insignificant they can only be seen when angling the sleeve toward a bright window and are totally invisible when looking at the sleeve. They do nothing to stop this getting a superb EX++++ grading (most sellers would grade the sleeve as a straight Mint or Near Mint!!!

The rare lyric insert has only ever been removed from inside the sleeve a handful of times and grades as Near Mint!!! Pristine and crisp white in colour with no creases/edge wear/scribbles etc!!

Comes with original **Near Mint** UK 'Patent' Inner Sleeve! It is also pristine, crisp and white with no creases/seam/wear/scribbles etc!

I can virtually guarantee that this is the absolute best **Near Mint** copy of this rare UK 1st pressing you will ever see!!! Please so not miss it as it is my own best copy in Mint- condition, it has been archived for years and has barely ever seen the light of day. I do not have anymore in this kind of condition, so when this has gone it's gone...

We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.

We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed.
