Description
This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1962 U.S. REGAL RECORDS (LOCAL FORT PIERCE FLORIDA LABEL) 45 RPM RECORD containing the 'Northern Soul' side titled 'Played Out Playgirl' backed with 'I Can't Understand' from Arthur Freeman. It is Regal Records catalog number 660R-7257. This 1962 local label 45 contains the ORIGINAL CUT of the song 'Played Out Playgirl', which was re-recorded by Arthur Freeman five years later for Excello Records - The 1967 Excello recut later became a 'Northern Soul' and 'Carolina Beach Music' club favorite, this ORIGINAL CUT of 'Played Out Playgirl' was recorded five years earlier and has a somewhat cruder and less produced sound. 'I Can't Understand' is a soulful ballad. Condition of this 45 is a high VG+ with all original gloss and just a very few light surface marks, none of which can be felt, but a couple of which cause a few slight ticks at the end of 'Played out Playgirl'. Both labels have a little bit of wear around the center hole and a little bit of contact wear as can be seen in my accompanying image, no other real flaws. This ORIGINAL CUT 45 would be a choice rare addition to any 'Northern' soul record collection! Winning bidder pays $3.00 first class mail postage or actual priority mail postage within the U.S. I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - First class international airmail postage to the UK or anyplace in Europe is $7.50, Canada $4.00 - Please e-mail me for postage rates to other areas outside the U.S. WINNING BIDDER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediate refund (less shipping) upon return of the 45 if winning bidder is dissatisfied for any reason. Good luck!, an
