OK, BACK TO SOME GOOD 45s OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES FOR A WEEK OR TWO - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1962 U.S. Regal Records (local Fort Pierce Florida label) 45 RPM record containing the ORIGINAL 1962 CUT of the tune titled 'Played Out Playgirl' backed with 'I Can't Understand' from Arthur Freeman.   It is Regal Records catalog number 660R-7257, and is a GUARANTEED 1962 ORIGINAL, NOT A 'REPRO' REPRODUCTION AND NOT A 1970s ERA 'COLLECTORS PRESSING'!!  This 45 appears to be a RARE ITEM which has not been offered on eBay either at auction or at fixed price sale during the past month as far as I can tell.  The cut of 'Played Out Playgirl' on offer here is the original 1962 recorded version of this tune, which Arthur Freeman later re-recorded for Excello in 1967, when that different recorded take of the song became a hit and a 'Northern Soul' and 'Carolina Beach Music' favorite.  'I Can't Understand' is a soulful ballad.  Condition of record is conservatively a real nice high VG++ with all original gloss and just a very few light and small surface marks which cannot be felt, and do not affect play.   Record plays through nicely with a tiny bit of light surface noise.  Labels have a little wear around the center hole and a little bit of contact wear as can be seen in my accompanying image, no other real flaws worth mentioning.  This rare 45 with the original cut of a popular 'Northern' tune would make a choice addition to any 'Northern Soul' or 'Carolina Beach Music' record collection!
