OK - BACK TO SOME GOOD COLLECTABLE 45s OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1962 U.S. REGAL RECORDS (LOCAL FORT PIERCE FLORIDA LABEL) 45 RPM RECORD containing the songs 'Played Out Playgirl'/'I Can't Understand' from soul man Arthur Freeman. It is Regal Records catalog number 660R-7257, and is a GUARANTEED 1962 ORIGINAL, NOT A 'REPRO' REPRODUCTION AND NOT A 'COLLECTORS PRESSING'!! 'Played Out Playgirl' is the 1962 ORIGINAL FIRST RECORDING of the popular midtempo shuffler which was re-recorded by Arthur Freeman in 1968 and became a 'Northern Soul' and Carolina 'beach music' favorite after the re-recording was released on the Astor-Arts and Excello labels. 'I Can't Understand' is a deep soul ballad. Condition of record is a real nice high VG++ with a small amount of light surface marks which cannot be felt, and do not affect play. Labels have a tiny bit of contact wear, no other real flaws. This local release 45 would be a prime rare addition to any 'Northern' soul 45 record collection!
