Art Blakey is one of the inventors of the modern bebop style of drumming. Known as a powerful musician and a vital groover his brand of bluesy, funky hard bop was and continues to be profoundly influential on mainstream jazz. For more than 30 years, his band Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers included many young musicians who went on to become prominent names in jazz.
Released in the late fifties, A Night In Tunisia is a Jazz milestone and prime example of Blakey's exceptional rhythmic prowess. This album is not all about drumming though; it leaves much space for great melodical interplay by fellow musicians Sam Dockery on piano, John Griffin and Ferris Benda on saxophone, Bill Hardman on trumpet and Jimmy De Brest on double bass. Now available with crystal clear, remastered audio!

In the case of Pre-Orders from UK customers, the item is dispatched, so that it will arrive with you on or just after the release date (provided that there is no change to the release date). In the case of a Pre-order, the delivery timescales and delivery dates calculated and shown on eBay, are not precise, and should be ignored.
In the case of a Pre-Order from non UK customers, the item is dispatched in the same timescales as for UK customers, but it will take longer to get to you, due to the longer delivery timescales involved in overseas deliveries.
