Description

Please read my description carefully before bidding.  I will ship the item worldwide and will accept free return if it doesn't match the listing description.


This one is the 1st mono and deep-grooved and flat-edged pressing of Art Blakey's A NIGHT AT BIRDLAND VOL 2. Blue Note Records BLP-1522. With an early "Green Bird Cover".  It is also a Frame Cover.  This is an original issue (released in 1956) from Blue Note Records, not a reissue version of Classic Records or Analog Production.  


Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder with "RVG" and "EAR" etched on the dead wax of both sides. No "R" and no "INC" on both sides.  Address on labels: "BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 767 LEXINGTON AVE NYC".  The cover is the 1st version framed "Green Bird Cover" with no address on the back cover.


Artists Included: Art Blakey (drums), Clifford Brown (trumpet), Lou Donaldson (alto saxophone), Horace Silver (piano), Curley Russell (bass).


The vinyl plays NM (almost MINT) on both sides.  Vinyl is bright and glossy with hairlines and scuffs.  Grooves do not show any wear or damage. 


The cover is NM (almost Mint).  Strong, no crack, no split.  The spine is intact.  


The record is play graded. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. 


My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-. You will be satisfied.  And I will accept a free return.  Please bid with confidence.
