UP FOR SALE:  ART BLAKEY A NIGHT AT BIRDLAND 2 ORIG BLUE NOTE 1522

Art Blakey - "A Night at Birdland" Volume 2 - Blue Note Records, deep groove on both sides, Lp #1522, "RVG" written in dead wax on both sides, ear mark on both sides. Flat edge.  Jacket gives no address. Label says Blue Note Records 161 Lexington Ave NYC, on both sides. The Bird cover was available for a short time before it was changed to the more common 1522 cover. Features; Clifford Brown / Lou Donaldson / Horace Silver / Curly Russell.

COVER: VG++.  Clean and glossy!  Sharp cover has very small minor color loss at corners, only a touch of opening edge wear, 1" very tight thin lower center seam split.  Hard to see as paper wrap covers it well.  A beauty!

LP: VG++ with NM play.  WOW!  Glossy and wet looking gem that only has a few very light topical unfeelable marks to keep it from NM appearance.  Very light noise in dead wax intro on both sides.  Side 1 plays super clean with track 2 having some faint light crackles in quiet spots - hard to detect.  Side 2 track 1 has some super faint brief background noise in the piano solo.  Hard to hear or notice.  The rest plays NM.  FANTASTIC!  Labels are clean.

Absolutely Superior condition on this rare collectible lp!  It plays fantastic and is a true gem in anyone's record collection!  Be sure to check our feedback for 1000's of very happy domestic and international buyers that find we grade on the conservative side.
