Description
STRAIGHT STS 1051 1969 1ST PRESS
STEREO THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE FIRST PRESS WITH AC ETCHED BEFORE THE MATRIX NUMBER ON SIDE 1 RUN OFF
1ST STAMPERS 1ST PRESS FOR MAXIMUM SOUND
WHAT MAKES THIS LP SO RARE IS THE YELLOW CENSOR STICKER STILL INTACT! THIS WAS RUSHED ON BY BIZARRE RECORDS BECAUSE OF 1969 CENSORSHIP - THIS LASTED ONLY A SHORT TIME AND ON SUBSEQUENT PRESSINGS AND UP TO NOW, ALL COPIES SHOWED THE GIRL AS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED - OF ALL THE COPIES I HAVE OWNED, THIS IS THE ONLY COPY WITH A YELLOW STICKER I HAVE ACTUALLY EVER SEEN!!
THE CONDITION OF THIS RECORD IS AMAZING, READ ON FOR FULL DETAILS
THE VINYL WHEN LOOKED ON AS IT IS REMOVED FROM THE SLEEVE LOOKS IMPECCABLE, A LUSTROUS SHEEN WITH VERY LITTLE EVIDENCE OF PLAY. UNDER BRIGHT LIGHTS AND INSPECTED CLOSELY, THERE ARE SOME VERY FINE VERY SPARSE HAIR LINES THAT ARE POSSIBLY DUE TO THE REMOVAL FROM THE SLEEVE AND JUST AGE (AFTER ALL THIS RECORD IS 48 YEARS OLD!) THE SPINDLE HOLE DOES NOT SHOW ANY MARKS THAT I NOTICE EVEN UNDER A MAGNIFYING GLASS UPON PLAYING
THE ORIGINAL GATE FOLD SLEEVE IS IN A EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ONLY VERY LIGHT AGE GENERAL WEAR - WITH NO SPLITS - NO LABELS SAVE THE CENSOR STICKER SHOWS NORMAL LIGHT RING WEAR - BARELY NO BUMPING TO EDGES AND CORNERS NO RIPS OR TEARS ON HEAVY WEIGHT US CARDBOARD - THE SPINE SHOWS VERY LIGHT CORNER BUMPING. (SEE PHOTO)
HAS NO CUT OUTS OR PUNCH HOLES
PLEASE SEE PHOTOS
LABELS ARE SUPER BRIGHT WITH NO DAMAGE NO WRITING OR LABELS
SHOWS NO VISIBLE SPINDLE MARKINGS !! PROVING IT WASN'T PLAYED MUCH
THIS IS A SUPERB EXAMPLE OF ALICE COOPER'S FIRST LP ON ORIGINAL LABEL, WITH RARE STICKER AND A FIRST PRESSING IN TOP CONDITION - NOT TO BE MISSED THIS IS AN INVESTMENT!!
NOT THE RE-RELEASE ON PINK STRAIGHT BUT THE ORIGINAL ORANGE AND PURPLE LABEL!!
FINALLY ONE LAST WORD RE HAIRLINES, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANY NON SEALED RECORD WITHOUT THEM, MANY HAD THEM FROM NEW. MOSTLY THEY ARE A RESULT OF STORAGE AND USE AND USUALLY HAVE LITTLE IMPACT ON THE SOUND QUALITY. THE SAME GOES FOR BACKGROUND NOISE, UNFORTUNATELY ALL RECORDS WILL HAVE SOME AND THIS VARIES AND REFLECTS THE PRESSING QUALITY.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
FULLY GUARANTEED!
IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded.
Records are graded under bright lights or discrete sunlight - In the case of visibly possible harmful scratches, the record will be tested and sound quality noted. Many vintage (1955-70) records will play fine with visible damage due to superior vinyl and better pressings.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND FULLY GUARANTEED

How I Grade Condition Of Discs
Mint
This means I have owned it from new or purchased from a distributors warehouse, basically it means absolutely new shape, never been played or out of its dust cover. In the case of LP's, a North American album will have to be factory sealed (anyone can reseal an album!) Take Note: European and Japaneses albums were never shrink wrapped!
Note: Being mint does not guarantee it's free of pops and clicks, many pressings especially from the US were made with very poor vinyl and in a hurry which means often there are imperfections in the pressing. As a former importer, we were often given back brand new albums due to clicks heard in the playback.
Mint Minus - No such thing, it's either mint or not.
Excellent - A disc is super clean, with no visible marks
Excellent Plus, means it's probably mint but can't be proven by me.
Excellent minus, is a disc that is excellent except it may have some markings that do not show up in the playing
VG - A disc that is STILL in good shape, WILL have some scuffs or scratches, not in excellent shape but well worth owning. VG + and ++,a disc that is that much better than VG.
VG minus, just a smidgen below VG
Good - A disc that can be played, has obvious ware but is worth owning, a DJ copy of a rare early Motown for instance or a rare Doo-Wop or Northern Soul which could still be worth a fortune, Good Minus & Good Plus is a step above or below Good. In most cases I will not offer a disc in this condition unless it's rare and hard to find.
