Hi, I am Steve,I am an avid record collector and have been collecting records for about thirty years now and have reached the point where I have to rationalize my collection on the grounds of space at home.I have sold many lps on ebay and have a 100% feedback score.All my records for auction have been play graded by myself, listening to the whole record, as visual grading only tells part of the story.I will always try to describe all faults as clearly as possible.

All records for auction are play graded on my cherished system which is made up of the following; Linn Sondek Lp12 with Transfiguration Aria high quality moving coil cartridge, running into a full blown Naim Audio amplication set up, ending up with the awesome Linn Isobarik speakers being driven actively with THREE Naim NAP250 power amps!Believe me,if theres a fault with any of my vinyl, I will get to hear it!   I am a very critical listener who loves Opera on vinyl (a potential minefield for quality playback) so I will describe my records for auction as if I were to be the buyer.I will mention any defects small ,(or large ,unlikely as I avoid selling anything that I am not happy to listen to myself).

You can safely be assured that my records play without jumps, skips and have no writing on covers or labels unless clearly stated to the contrary.

OTHER INFO; FOR MANY THIS IS WHERE THE BLUES IN THE UK STARTED.THE MSIC WAS RECORDED AT THREE SESSIONS DURING THE SUMMER OF 1963.ON SAXAPHONES WERE DICK HECKSTALL-SMITH AND ART THEMEN,BOTH, AT DIFFERENT TIMES,MEMBERS OF PRIZE-WINNING CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY  JAZZ BANDS.JOHNNY PARKER WHO IS BEST KNOWN FOR HIS LONG STINT AS PIANIST WITH HUMPREY LYTTELTON'S BAND,ALTHOUGH HIS WORK HERE MAY SUPRISE AFICIONADOS WHO REMEMBER HIM ONLY IN THAT SETTING.MIKE SCOTT,A MANCUNIAN,PLAYED BASS,WHILE THE DRUMMER WAS PHIL SEAMEN,WITHOUT DOUBT ONE OF THE GREATEST JAZZ MUSICIANS IN EUROPE AT THE TIME.

THREE DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST SESSION, ALEXIS GOT OUT HIS GUITAR AND SAT DOWN BEFORE A TAPE RECORDER. BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND DAWN HE WORKED OUT NINE OF THE COMPOSITIONS HEARD ON THIS LP.THEY ARE QUITE STARTLINGLY DIVERSE.QUITE HOW DIVERSE YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE IF YOU ARE THE LUCKY WINNING BIDDER OF THIS BRILLIANT PIECE OF MUSICAL HISTORY!!     

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THIS ALBUM'S COVER;

COVER FRONT;Cover is laminated and in very good condition ,however the laminate has lifted in the top left corner,it has not broken though so is completely intact,there is one small laminate crease again in the top area,you will probably be able to see from my picture.

COVER BACK;Excellent condition,just a little discolouration (yellowing due to age),no writing or stains.A very feint showing of ring wear being unlaminated is visible though not enough to distract from grading excellent.   

TOP EDGE;Perfect Mint,nothing more I can say!

BOTTOM EDGE;Perfect Mint nothing more I can say!

RIGHT (OPENING ) EDGE;Excellent condition,just very slight amount of feathering in the middle section.

LEFT (SPINE)EDGE;Excellent,a couple of tiny laminate creases on the very edge,all text complete and clearly readable with minimal copression. 

COVER SUMMARY;Excellent-,notoriously difficult to find in top condition but this will please serious collectors.

VINYL CONDITION AND VISUAL GRADING;

Visually this lp looks unplayed and near mint,there are no signs of play and the labels are perfect with no spindle marks or wear!

VINYL SOUND QUALITY AND AUDIO GRADING;

This lp plays WITHOUT FAULT,having listened throughout both sides on my own system (described above) I can confirm that there is nothing to detract from the enjoyment of this record.The quality of this vinyl is archive quality and will not need upgrading by any collector.I guarantee this or your money back!!That is how confident I am of the playback quality of this album.

All records are professionally cleaned and posted in professional mailers with the record being removed from the sleeve to prevent splitting of edges and then sandwiched between stiffeners to prevent bending.The mailer is then taped on all sides to prevent it from opening or splitting.I am happy to accommodate any special requests for packaging(subject to any possible cost increase) feel free to advise me before payment.
