Overkill packaging as usual with tracking via USPS media mail for $4.00, International first class shipping registered varies with location. Open LPs are cleaned with Ultrasonic cleaner and sent with new 3 mil poly inner and outer sleeves.
Producer, composer and musician from Hamburg (Germany), Achim Reichel is a key figure in the explosion of krautrock. Reichel was first a founder member of "The Rattles" at the beginning of the 60's. In 1968 he formed the "Wonderland band" with the drummer Frank Dostal. Late 60's he launched his first solo musical project called A.R. and Machines. Musically it provides a supreme sonic musical voyage turned to cycled psychedelic guitar playing with lot of echoes and delay. The first album was published in 1971 in collaboration with Frank Dostal. The album presents an ambitious collection of spacey rock jams featuring a lot of electronic effects and arrangements. This album prefigures "acid" trips of krautrock guitar / minimal electronic explorers like Manuel Gottsching. The guitar freakouts and the weird imagination of the first effort continue to prevail in the following inspired, confused and various Die Grune Reise, A.R. IV, Autovision (generally a mix between guitar soudscapes and psych pop orientated songs). Reichel decided to abandon the project after 5 studio albums. Today A.R and the machines remains a high class standard of hypnotic space-echo guitar inventions.
A.R. 3 was released shortly after the masterpiece double LP, Echo. In this album, Achim Reichel was in the middle of his progressive rock phase and very much at the top of his game musically speaking.Compared to the previous two albums, A.R. 3 is generally jazzier and less experimental. Like always, it features the phenominal echo-styled guitar work of Achim Reichel, with the help of some other talented musicians. If this album wasn't made in Germany and entirely instrumental, one could easily mistake it as a "psychedelic/space rock" album, because it's made up of mostly kosmiche, spacey jams. It's the occassional vocal chants and keyboards which give it a nice Krautrock flavor.

Spine is readable. Vinyl is graded vg and plays the same, due to a mark(needle drop?) on side two last song with causes a dozen light pops. The rest of the vinyl plays well with random light noise and has good shine. Includes lyric insert and Zebra inner sleeve.price rating
