MAXICUT - A UNIQUE DISC CUTTING PROCESS
Maxicut is a name we at Studios 301 have applied to several modifications of our Neumann VMS-70 disc lathes. These modifications are contained on two printed circuit boards which replace the Neumann SV-66-V2 and TE-66 cards.
Maxicut is a process that allows us to cut lacquers at a significantly higher level, typically 6-8dB (normally 1-2 dB), without the normal tracking problems that less expensive turntable/cartridge units usually exhibit in trying to track these higher levels .....
Maxicut accomplishes this with no loss of the program signal and without significant loss in program time. " IN OTHER WORDS .... LOUDER!!

On 10-May-21 at 13:07:04 AEST, seller added the following information:JUST PLAYED THE WHOLE OF SIDE 2, WHICH HAS THE SURFACE SCUFFS SHOWN IN PIC.#12.
THOSE SCUFFS HAD NO EFFECT ON THE "MAXICUT" SOUND QUALITY WHATSOEVER.IT PLAYED & SOUNDED JUST LIKE A NEW RECORD, JUST 1 BARELY AUDIBLE TIC ON THE WHOLE SIDE. NO OTHER CRACKLE, POP, TIC, SKIP AT ALL. NOTHING AT THE BEGINNING, END, BETWEEN TRACKS OR IN QUIETER PASSAGES OF PLAY. NOTHING!! BUT PURE, LOUD ACCADACCA FROM GO TO WHOA. AN AMAZING TESTAMENT TO THE EMI STUDIOS 301 "MAXICUT" GROOVE CUTTING PROCESS.
WHEN YOU PLAY THIS RECORD YOU CAN TELL STRAGHT AWAY WHY THE AUSTRALIAN "MAXICUT" PRESSINGS ARE SO HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER AND PRIZED BY COLLECTORS, ALL OVER THE WORLD.
BY THE WAY, JUST WATCHING THE SPINNING ALBERT BLUE & YELLOW STROBE EDGED LABEL IS A PLEASURE TO BEHOLD OF ITS OWN.
IF YOU LOVE AC/DC DON'T MISS IT.
