CARPENTER’S APPRENTICE   -    'Changes'      LP     UK      1972        (cat#    SRS 12107)

Highly regarded and sought after English Folk/Psych album.

With the large fold-out lyric insert.

Very rare private pressing.    In the late 60’s/early 70’s, it was common practice for private pressings to be made in quantities of less than 100 (for tax reasons).

CONDITION:        I strive to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK!    All records are checked in good light and play tested at a loud volume (unless described as sealed, brand new or stated otherwise).       STRICT   U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.  

SUPERB PLAYING CONDITION!      Playing condition is at least EX, with the majority of the album actually playing better than this grade!    Very little lessening in sound quality.   Occasional light background pops in places, mostly on side1 track1.     Quiet sections play with a lot of clarity.   Virtual silence in between tracks.   NO loud crackle,   NO distortion,   NO loud repetitive pops/clicks,   NO jumps,   NO sticking. 

Superb visual condition.     Visually the disc is easily in NrMINT condition.  3 or 4 light surface-only marks – not instantly noticeable.    Vinyl looks nice and clean and retains its original sheen.    Looks and plays virtually as good as new!   STUNNING.

Labels are NrMint.   Few and light spindle marks.     NO writing.   NO stickers.   NO tears.

Sleeve is in EX condition.    Only fault is a crease near on the top of front cover with a small thin black mark on it.   Virtually NO edge or corner wear.     Sleeve still retains the vast majority of its original whiteness.    Spine text perfectly readable.     NO seam splits.   NO tears.   NO stickers.  

Large fold-out insert is at least EX++.     Looks like it’s hardly been opened!   Some very faint (hardly noticeable) marks on the back are the only “fault”.   NO tears.   NO writing.   NO stickers   NO holes.

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
