ABBA
Side A: “EL DIA ANTES DE QUE LLEGARAS”
(The Day Before You Came)
Side B: “CASSANDRA”
(in English)
MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original RCA VICTOR Records, very first Stereo press released in Argentina in 1982, licensed from Polar Music International AB, with RARE black/silver RCA Victor Records labels, with colored “RCA Victor” lettering and dog logo, catalog number E-0255, with hand etched matrix numbers POS-181-A- 1S in Side 1 and POS-181-B- 1S E- in Side 2. It’s interesting to notice that in labels the sides are identified as “Lado 1” (Side 1) and “Lado 2” (Side 2), but in matrix numbers they are “A” and “B”. Yes Sirs, ANOTHER GREAT FIND FROM SOUTH AMERICA!!!
This is maybe one of the rarest singles of ABBA released in South America and sure the rarest of Argentina, it has an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE made of a very fragile paper, which keeps the same design for front and back cover, with title “EL DIA ANTES DE QUE LLEGARAS” (“The Day Before You Came” written in Spanish). Like in other cases, this issue has a mystery you could have already discovered with the pictures. In labels in both sides it’s written the original catalog number of this single “POS 1318” with the correct matrix information “POS 1318-A” and “POS 1318-B” for sides A and B, but in the deadwax it’s written “POS-181-A” and “POS-181-B”!!! See the pictures!!! UNIQUE ERROR WORLDWIDE!!!
This single comes in a PICTURE SLEEVE made of a very fragile paper, which’s in VG or VG+ condition, complete and clean, but with some wear and notorious ring marks in both sides, but no writings, no marks, some tiny rips in the mouth edge but not even seam splits!!! Record is in NM- or NM condition, it’s glossy and clean, no scractches or hairlines, with only minimal scuffs hard to see at first sight, which of course don’t affect the sound. Labels are in great NM or NM+ condition both sides, with maybe only very minimal spindle wear. Sound is in strong EX+ or NM- condition the Side A, loud and clear, no background noise, only some pair of light crackles at the end of the song, and in NM- or NM condition the Side B, loud, clean and clear, with only some minimal crackles here and there, hard to hear of you are not looking for then, which of course don’t distract from the great sound this single keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall a MEGARARE record with BLACK RCA VICTOR LABELS in great condition, with UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE in still great condition and stunning sound quality after about 41 years, which won't disappoint anyone!!! A MUST FOR ABBA COLLECTORS!!! And don't forget the UNIQUE MATRIX ERROR!!! Yes Sirs, WHAT A FIND AGAIN!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

_________________________________________________________
We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK
We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
