Please carefully read our entire listing to answer any questions you may have,  including discount shipping rates at end of listing; then contact us directly with any other information you may need.

WITH MUCH APPRECIATION TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS:  If you have a question on orders received, please contact us.  We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied.   When leaving Feedback, please consider the following:  eBay's policy on the 5-star rating system is anything less than a 5  reduces our standing with eBay and ultimately can affect our selling abilities.   SO please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music!  We have served thousands of satisfied customers  - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.

We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records.   Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of  2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.

We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays.  Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday.   We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.  We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order.  Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS:  We are happy to hold orders to save on shipping.  Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and, if you request, we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.

As always, thank you for your support!

The Doors will always remain the most fascinating American rock group of the 1960s.

There's a strange feeling when listening to them, almost like stepping into a foreign and dangerous world. Thanks to Ray Manzarek's keyboard, the music still transports the listener to those seedy, stale beer-soaked clubs of southern California, where the dream and the reality fused in a melancholy haze.

It is in this haze that the band sounds best, especially when listening to The Soft Parade. It is an album that requires a specific mood to enjoy -- to wit, that mood when one is driving home late at night, the window cracked open, the thoughts swirling on philosophy and the meaning of life with a dose of sex fantasy. The nine songs betray an exhausted, embattled group coming off Morrison's on-stage audience baiting in Miami, resulting in the alleged flashing incident. Shortly after this, the singer gained weight and grew a beard and the band began writing songs in the studio.

The Soft Parade winds up falling somewhere between airy mysticism, overblown poetry, blues riffs, psychedelia and the occasional pop hooks pulling them off well.

While much is made of the arrangements and strings peppering some songs, that aspect of the disc works rather well, especially on "Wishful Sinful" and the hit "Touch Me," one of the band's finest musical moments. Indeed, the most notable aspect of the music is that it's not quite finished. The ideas are there -- an odd bluegrass tilt to "Runnin' Blue" and the excellent guitar work of "Shaman's Blues" are obvious highlights -- as well are "Touch Me" and the bluesy shaman rave of "Wild Child" and the madness that runs through "The Soft Parade"

For the third time in four albums, the band closes with a ten-minute epic, but unlike the previous two "The Soft Parade" maintains a consistent tone throughout by being unpredictable; one doesn't know what's coming next, but one knows that something odd is coming next, even after hearing the song a couple times. It's hard to describe, really -- after a Morrison ranting preacher-like sermon about petitioning the Lord with prayer, the song veers from chamber pop to crazed intensity with a carnival-esque feel permeating the songs middle section. Lyrically, of course, Morrison is as on point as ever: "Deer woman in a silk dress / irls with beads about their necks / Kiss the hunter of the green vest / Who has wrestled before / With lions in the night." The album on the whole has gotten better as time goes by.
