I've made the decision to sell some of my very large collection of 7", 12" and LPs.
ALL THE ITEMS I AM SELLING COME FROM OVER THIRTY YEARS OF COLLECTING.
I AM NOT A DEALER.
There will be some real gems, so make sure you keep your eyes open.

The 60s was a golden age for duets, of every format. Most were totally unrelated to each other, even though they were billed as such. The Righteous Brothers were a prime example of unrelated siblings, as were The Walker Brothers - if we can include a trio here. None of 'The Walker Brothers' were named Walker, nor were any of them brothers. Among the lesser-known duos in the soul market, Moses and Joshua Dillard sounded as if they had come straight out of the Old Testament. Moses Dillard had recorded a couple of singles in 1964 (and very rare they are too - see the reissue elsewhere on my listings). His work didn't go unheeded, and it was Otis Redding who took him under his wing (though it was actually Moses' guitar strumming that Otis was an admirer of). His instrument features on Arthur Conley tracks from the period (including "Sweet Soul Music"), and later tunes by James & Bobby Purify (another pair of fictitious 'brothers').
By the time of the latter sessions, Moses had joined Papa Don at Mala, and decided to try and emulate the success of Sam & Dave. He found his 'Joshua Dillard' in the shape of James Moore, and their debut was the Twisted Wheel favourite, "My Elusive Dreams". It sold well enough to warrant a UK release on Stateside, although their second single floundered. Dropping the Dillard from the credits - and thus strengthening the Biblical context - "Get Out Of My Heart" was another pounding piece of Muscle Shoals magic, which was perhaps a little too similar to it's predecessor for it's own good. Stateside declined to put it out over here, and those that prefer to collect British labels have to settle for the value-for-money Mojo release, from 1972, which paired both of the original A-sides.
There was nothing more from 'Moses & Joshua' (except reissues), although Moses Dillard himself continued to record with various ensembles (such as The Tex-Town Display, and Lovejoy).
A. Pounding southern Northern; another that has filled floors for many moons; just two minutes long, so made for geriatric stompers!; listen in full on the link.
B. Excellent ballad; exceptional rising and faling brass.
The styrene has a number of fairly light "spiders webs"/scuffs, but these are only superficial, and both sides play close to mint, with one tick towards the end of the B-side.
Both labels have bubbling, which is more pronounced on the B-side.
The edges are completely chip-free.
This record has been played on both sides to verify condition, but there's a full money-back guarantee on all my sales, and I'll refund anyone who isn't totally captivated.
