I am listing a collection of records gathered together by a music fan during the years of 1965 and 1966. Most of the sleeves from the collection are stamped with the month and year in which they were obtained. The collector was working for a record distributor in Birmingham at the time and collected a lot of records as they passed through the distribution warehouse between December 1964 and November 1966. I know this because the couple I bought them from told me so, as they bought them from him in December 1966 to help out with a domestic problem. Since then they have been stored warm and dry for 45 years. Reading between the lines I get the impression that friends and family have rummaged through them and borrowed or begged a lot of the well known hits of the era, leaving some pretty obscure and interesting sixties 45s, most remaining un-played from new. Consequently, many of the records I am listing from 1965 and 1966 are in mint un-played condition, although not necessarily spotlessly clean, some loose dust is clinging by static to the glossy vinyl surface of many of them. If this poses a problem to you then please don’t bid. The older records from the collection (pre 1964) clearly have been played and are graded visually as per the ‘Rare record price guide’ guidelines. I have 100% feed back and intend to keep it that way, so if you are not 100% happy with your purchase I am happy to give a full refund excluding P&P, as soon as the record is returned to me. Please allow the full amount of E-bay time stipulated for delivery as I am selling a lot of records at the same time, which is very time consuming from a P&P point of view. All questions answered. The risk is yours to take, but I would strongly recommend that if you are paying a large sum of money for a rare record, then you should choose the Royal Mail Special Delivery option to safeguard your purchase.
