Here is the original (Italian only) DOUBLE LP in GATEFOLD, released as a limited edition, and as first press with etched pigs on side 4 , it's a long time ago sold out spare copy found in delightful top condition!

1970 - 1971 recordings by legendary British underground heroes Pink Fairies in their prime! Dealing here with a treasure of rarities arranged to drive-home the relentless attack of non-stop "melodies" infused, energized & agonized by magical PINK FAIRY dust.

Some say this is the baddest and rawest that rock and roll gets. There's a reason the contents are of PINK FAIRIES legend.

The Pink Fairies were an offshoot of the Deviants and emerged from the same bohemian/anarchist U.K. Ladbroke Grove scene from which Hawkwind, the Edgar Broughton Band and a whole bunch of other “anti-establishment” rock bands came from. 

For all the press the Pink Fairies received for being anarchists, they sure as hell didn’t sing about this topic or even use social satire like the Deviants did.  Still be aware they set up free gigs outside of customer paying festivals as a band of the people, but, when your most popular song is about a certain male organ, it’s hard to really think of them sticking it to "the man." But we like ’em and isn’t that what counts?

The original lineup for the Fairies consisted of former Deviants members:
Paul Rudolph (guitar/vocals),
Duncan Sanderson (bass),
Russell Hunter (drums)
and
former Pretty Things drummer John “Twink” Alder as a second drummer,
(and he’s there and here, and that’s that.)

Of particular interest to many was the Pink Fairies direct connection to Hawkwind, whom they always seemed to be supporting and tagging along with.

As for their records", the first Pink Fairies album is loaded with solid rock tunes.  The primary styles seem to alternate between crunchy over-driven hard rock down-shifting to a Pink Floyd-styled drifting heavenly haze.

Guitarist Paul Rudolph shows off his rawest bombardment (ala 1st Blue Cheer) with various forms & formations of  dirty, distorted guitar riffs, phased psychedelic solos and wah-wah effects downshifted to once-in-awhile drifting Pink Floyd acid-haze via pretty acoustic melodies (none being here, this is only king-hell rock & roll). 

So which are the favorites among the "monster" tracks featured on this set? The ace rockers contending are the pulverizing “Do It”, “Say You Love Me”, “Teenage Rebel” and “The Snake” !!! But everything gets turned on its head when into the swirling chaos of the l-o-n-g "Uncle Harry's Last Freak-out" mushrooms into a dense cloud of energy - destined to activate your audio speakers into sneaking out the door!

Incidentally, lyrics to “The Snake”, which was a NON LP great-est of Pink Fairies songs, yes, for sure, has to be one of the greatest rock tunes ever, a locomotive of pre-punk, aggressive riffing and fast drumming - as follows, click on the middle of picture below and sing along with the lyrics below picture:
