Description
Today I will be listing some vintage vinyl LPs I recently picked up in Charleston, SC. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I've been collecting since I was 10 years old and I understand the importance of accurate grading. All records visually graded, guaranteed to be as described.
THIS RECORD: Original Master Recordings MFSL 1-017 "Dark Side Of The Moon," by Pink Floyd. I've never been much of a Floyd fan so I'm not familiar with their LPs, but I believe this to be the 1979 issue. It comes with a gatefold cover, a white Mobile Fidelity inner gatefold, and a translucent inner sleeve. Visually, there are a few condition issues, but this is a very nice copy for playing. I played it and I heard no tics, pops, skips, jumps - in fact I heard no surface noise at all. CONDITION, VINYL: Not "investment" grade, but a very nice copy for listening. Glossy Ex with a couple inaudible superficial marks - I'm listening to it as I write this and I'm hearing no surface noise whatsoever. ATTENTION!! There is a curious issue with this LP. When I play side one I can see a small, slight degree of warp. I didn't notice it until I saw my tone arm slightly bobbing. It doesn't effect play in any way and it's not a drastic issue, but it is there. However, when I play side two on the same turntable, the warp disappears. I've never experienced this before. It is just a slight warp, and the weight of the vinyl itself must be enough to flatten it out. I've included a video of the warp side. Ebay is reviewing the video, so it may not be available when you read this. If so, try again in a day or two. Again, the minor imperfections keep me from grading it any higher than Ex, but it plays like a super clean NM. Any of my LPs may need a cleaning. I don't have a proper cleaning machine, so I leave that to the buyer.
CONDITION, COVER: The cover has wear on the spine - check my photos carefully. There is also wear and a partial split along the top. There is light general surface wear, inside the gatefold cover is very clean. The Mobile Fidelity insert is fine, as is the inner sleeve.
US SHIPPING OPTIONS: Shipping in the US via Media Mail - $4.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: EXPENSIVE!!! Expect to pay around $30 for International First Class shipping. ATTENTION: ONLY packages valued at less than $100 will be shipped First Class International. Any package valued $100 or more will require shipping via Priority International & insurance - $65. Wait for my invoice before sending payment. ALSO; I use Ebay shipping labels. It's the only way I can prove to Ebay that I shipped a package to the proper address if ever there's a dispute. Unfortunately, those labels will always have customs information - including the actual value of the merchandise - clearly printed on them. I realize that customs fees are a concern in the UK and other countries, but you'll just have to figure that into your cost.
