Original 1973 VINYL first pressing of the glorious king-hell rockin' roit by The Stooges aptly named "Raw Power" ...
So here is the band in its raging glory. Raw Power features the Stooges in their prime. This album captures the edge and execution of the group as it sounded to scores of disaffected Detroit youth some 35 years ago. The material sounds fresh, Iggy's on fire & James Williamson’s guitar tone and licks are shredding razor sharp.Columbia Records label rejected the album’s preliminary mix and contracted David Bowie to remix the record in a day’s time in a dimly, lo-tech studio in the bowels of Los Angeles.
This was the Stooges' last and most wildly energetic record (while Funhouse is often regarded as their masterpiece, which it is), and the ultimate soundtrack to a STOOGES riot. Turn on "Raw Power," "Search & Destroy," or "Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell" and you'd better have an outlet for the beast you're gonna let loose. It's groovy, intense, violent, and loud as hell. The Stooges were definitely far ahead of their time. Although there is a hint of classic hard rock to their sound, it is amped up to such a degree that it is barely recognizeable. The title track is the anthem to destroy all other anthems; "Raw power got a healin' hand, raw power can destroy a man, raw power is more than soul."
It's all great, including "Death Trip," "Penetration," "Gimme Danger," and "I Need Somebody." Without this record there would be NO punk rock, NO metal, NO alternative, NO grind....whatever, anything loud and raw owes something to this record and forever will.

CONDITION: The cover 1973 originals are hard to find clean with the dark cover ... this one is still pretty nice, "VG++" with only very slight previous visible use, cared for. no seam splits, no bends, no writing. solid
The vinyl is all clean and shiny "EX" (excellent) has like 3 superficial thin scuffs that are minor so plays M- top level!
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
