Up for auction is the hard to find first US press Psych classic LP "Axis: Bold As Love" by the Jimi Hendrix Experience released on Reprise Records #RS 6281 in 1968. This is the FIRST US press with the tri-color label and not a later reissue. Visually graded using Goldmine standards, the vinyl rates a VG/VG+ with nice shine and moderate surface wear. There are some light scratches and scuffs but only on the surface. The gatefold jacket is excellent with no splits, light soiling but very nice. Overall A nice copy of this hard to find album. This record is notorious for being beat up so definitely a nice copy. DO NOT MISS OUT! Low starting bid and no reserve. Will be shipped in a sturdy record mailer with LP outside of the jacket within a protective plastic sleeve. Please see my other auctions for more rare vinyl.

Axis: Bold as Love is the second studio album by English-American rock band the Jimi Hendrix Experience. It was recorded to fulfill the Experience's contract, which stated that they must produce two records in 1967.

Axis: Bold as Love was first released in the United Kingdom by Track Records in December 1967, as the follow-up to the band's successful debut Are You Experienced, which had been released months earlier in May. It was not sold in the United States until 1968 because of the record company's fears that it might disturb the sales of the first album. Axis: Bold as Love charted at number five in the UK and number three in the US.
