This listing features the absolute RAREST of ALL the original Sgt. Pepper record album covers! This is the final MONO cover with the "NEMS/MACLEN" print on the back cover! The vast majority of MONO covers do NOT have the "NEMS/MACLEN" print.

This cover was one of the very last covers produced in 1967 before the MONO variations went completely out of print. And the best part is this particular MAS-2653 (MONO) cover remains in the original SEARS ROEBUCK & CO." SHRINKWRAP which is incredibly hard to find! Clearly, the in-store shrink has preserved this example over the last 50+ years!

The MAS-2653 vinyl comes with the rare Capitol Records rainbow label featuring the incorrect title, "A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS" which was corrected to "WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS". This gorgeous Beatles album is 100% complete and includes the original red psychedelic inner sleeve and the custom Sgt. Pepper cut-out insert! Both the inner sleeve and insert are in PRISTINE condition!

CONDITION:
The 1967 Mono cover is gorgeous and grades a solid NEAR MINT MINUS with tight seams, no splits and very light signs of possible ringwear. The colors are bright and graphics are seen in vivid detail! The only think keeping the cover from being NM+ is some light wear, which most, if not all, can be seen in the photos. Please examine the photos carefully prior to bidding! The vinyl is absolutely STUNNING! We're calling it NEAR MINT to NM+. Both sides of the vinyl show the original luster and bright shine like you typically see with a brand new example! It just doesn't get much better than this folks! This incredibly rare MONO example of Sgt. Pepper's LHCB is an absolute GEM! If properly cared for...it should continue to increase in value year after year!
