We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. MINTY CLEAN VINYL ...SCARCE early 70's British 2xLp with gatefold sleeve containing the very first two 1968 & 1970 Lp's by TYRANNOSAURUS REX ... brillant mixtures of mystical kaleidoscope hippie folk psych.

The entire first and second ((1967 & 1968)) albums by TYRANNOSAURUS REX; the popular hippie folk psych duo who played assorted guitars, bongos, tin whistles and odd lots alike overlayed by whimsical mystical lyrics, voiced in elfian accents by the infamous MARC BOLAN ...BOTH albums were NOT released in the USA...

In the beginning, when Tyrannosaurus Rex was formed in 1967, they were merely a duo comprised of Bolan and Steve Peregrine Took (who took his name from J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord Of The Rings). They played a strange, unique hybrid of folk psych music with fairydusted lyrics and were called Tyrannosaurus Rex. They were instantly successful on the British underground music circuit. Their first album, bearing the cumbersome title My People Were Fair And Had Sky In Their Hair...But Now They're Content To Wear Stars On Their Brows, was released in 1968. That title is a good indication of Bolan's mentality. He wrote childlike and nonsensical lyrics, which sometimes consisted of chants and other strange noises. But he had an uncanny ability to draw you into his bizarre Tolkien-like universe with his dreamy music. He had a unique voice that alternately sounded innocent and evil, and which evoked an otherworldly feeling that few people could achieve. My People Were Fair... was a striking debut. Although it now pales next to the albums that came later, it offers a good introduction to Bolan's highly individual visions. The closing track, "Frowning Atahuallpa", contains spoken-word poetry read by British underground DJ John Peel; for whatever reason, that same song contains a Hare Krishna chant. Like most T. Rex albums, this one was produced by Tony Visconti, and all of the songs were written by Bolan.

The second album, Prophets, Seers & Sages - The Angels Of The Ages, was released only a few months later. It basically offered more of the same supernatural fairy tale folk music, but it was slightly better; the song structures were becoming more varied. Bolan's aggressive weirdness still abounds. The opening track is titled "Deboraarobed" because it begins as a song about someone named Debora, but the second half of the song is played backwards! All gimmickry aside, Prophets... is another dreamy and unique recording.

CONDITION: The cover: thick gatefold is solid all the way around, the original front and back cover art is basically hooked together to form the gatefold ... the front cover (1st Lp) is rated: M- which is a *plus* for this cover that did not wear well and most the times found with cover wear ... the back cover  = all black = is VG++ slight minor wear, nothing much at all ...all solid otherwise with no split seams, no writing, nice original colors ... collection ready, beating the $$$ going rate for UK Regal Zonophone copies

The vinyl: both records, all 4 sides are CLEAN, M- ...all 4 sides play CLEAN ...all glossy smooth and high level with clean labels ... upper copy here...on the U.K. FLY labels, which are clean (all four)
