ST. MARTIN'S GUILD OF CHURCH BELL RINGERS FOR THE DIOCESE OF BIRMINGHAM (THIS IS A BEST GUESS!?): Extracts From: Long Peal Of Stedman Cinques - B'ham Cath. 12-11-66 (Hollick & Taylor, HT LP 1096, 1965, LP)
Recorded 12 November 1966 at (presumably) St. Philip's Cathedral, Birmingham. Title above taken from handwriting on sleeve - labels do not include a title. Ringers guessed at because the label attached to the sleeve does not give details of who is undertaking the ringing.
Private pressing and no doubt limited to probably less than 100 copies to precluse payment of purchase tax. Looks to be a British Homophone pressing, and is transcribed from tape (a Brenell Mark V running at 7 1/2 i.p.s.). The recording quality is a marked improvement to the previous LP that was issued in 1965.
The plain white sleeve has details of the record written on the front and is in decent enough condition. The insert is VG. The record plays at a nice VG, which means mostly EX but with some light background evident in places. Ultimately, it's a super-rare record and not in that bad a condition considering it's probably the only copy you will ever see/own in your life.
* * * * Records generally have hairline marks from going in and out of sleeves - I do not mention these unless they cause audible noise. All records are play tested unless explicitly stated otherwise. Most of the records I am selling play at "Excellent" or "Very Good" as per Record Collector grading. Any specific defects are otherwise described in the listing. Please look at the photos carefully for condition of sleeves/labels.

* * * * Unless stated otherwise, all items are from my own collection. Most has been in storage for nearly 20 years. Lockdowns made me wonder why I have multiple copies of records that I will never listen to. There are about 8,000 more items to come from my rambling progressive, jazz fusion, folk, blues, 1950s stereo classical and easy listening, psychedelic, reggae, ambient, spoken word, comedy, railway, field recordings, electronic and occasionally just plain 'out there' collection.
