1966 BEATLES original Yesterday and Today BUTCHER album cover! This is a very nice 3rd state mono example. This means it was one of the rare callbacks that was then pasted over with the less controversial cover and put back out on the market. Then the paste over was peeled to reveal the original butcher cover. These covers are very rare in nice condition. This one is by no means a mint copy but it's far from a rat. The front exhibits light residue from the peel, a little heavier around John Lennon and the upper left corner. The back is nice with very light ring wear and some light soiling. The seams are fully intact with a 2" crack showing on the back spine but it is not split. I am not an expert on these covers but I don't see any repairs done on this one. I've owned it for 3-4 years.
