RARE ALTERNATIVE SLEEVE
Label: Dial Records (207), New York, 1950 (date of issue not noted)
Description: 10” Vinyl LP; orange & yellow labels; eight tracks; mono. “Ear” mark etched into the run-off wax. The players on this album are: Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, J.J. Johnson, Duke Jordan, Tommy Potter, and Max Roach. The record sleeve is a textured paper and is not illustrated. It is possibly a pre-release promo jacket or it might be a mail order alternative. Information on this variant is hard to find. The sticker on the sleeve incorrectly identifies Dial 207 as “Volume Three” but it's actually volume four (Dial 203 is volume three).
Condition: The record sleeve shows some slight age-toning along the edges but is very solid and remains in VG+ to Excellent condition. The labels show a bit of wear along the inner groove. The record has been play tested. The vinyl shows some scuffing and has a short scratch to Side A that you can feel but plays through without skipping. Overall the disk plays with some slight “clicking” and surface noise but remains in Good+ to VG condition. (Please see photos).

RETURNS: Returns are allowed within 14 days for any reason but notification of any return must be made to the seller within 24 hours of receipt as documented by USPS Delivery Confirmation. Failure to do so for any reason will void the return option.
