OFFERED: Vintage MOSAIC GERRY MULLIGAN/CHET BAKER Boxed Set" 5 LPs + Booklet NM "This five-LP box set, contains all of the Gerry Mulligan Quartet's recordings for Pacific Jazz and Capitol, everything the classic group ever recorded, for these labels. this is a limited-edition set that is now out of print it has all of the Mulligan Quartet's other recordings but also 15 previously unissued performances, all of the sides on which altoist Lee Konitz sat in with the quartet and the eight recordings by the 1953 Gerry Mulligan Tentette. These highly influential performances set the standard for West Coast jazz, made trumpeter Chet Baker a star, and remain some of the high points of Gerry Mulligan's very productive career." - S Y for AMG.
These are “audiophile quality” pressings on slim and near-silent vinyl – not heavy – but very high audio quality within the limitations of the original source. The condition of vinyl in This second-hand sets is usually immaculate as played only by discerning high-end collector on high quality audio equipment. **A point of interest:This set was not given a number denoting i'st place within the total pressing of 7500 sets, rather Bob Cannon name was writing instead, Why I have no idea.....Mr Cannon may have been an VIP at Mosaic or was involved in the production either way this is an very special one of a kind set for a serious collector.
A great addition to any Cool West Coast Jazz Vinyl collection. It will be shipped in bubblewrap within firm packaging for protection.
