Description
“School" on PARACHUTE RECORDS ( p-004 & 6 ) featuring (in various combinations) John Zorn, Eugene Chadbourne, Henry Kaiser, Bruce Ackley, Davey Williams, LaDonna Smith, Polly Bradfield and Mark Abbot. Sides A & B ( 21 minutes, 14 seconds & 22 minutes, 50 seconds respectively ) offer duos & trios. Sides C & D ( 23:05 and 25:02 ) comprise an extended sextet piece by Zorn titled "Lacrosse".
This ultra-rare double-LP has some shelf wear and ring wear. It looks like someone got creative and colored on the cover with markers. ( Although whoever did it obviously has an artistic flair - see photo. ) This came from the Free Jazz collection of an elderly gentleman who provided tender loving care to his vinyl and indeed the condition thereof is a strong NEAR MINT and it plays very nicely - although I would NOT want to fall asleep with this playing and have it become the soundtrack of my dreams ! This stuff is O U T T H E R E
This is a NO RESERVE auction ( although with a collector's item like this PARACHUTE RECORDS gem, there certainly SHOULD BE a reserve! )
