Description
From the vaults of victortalkingmachine, we have for your bidding consideration a DEALER STOCK Victor 21537 by Ross de Luxe Syncopaters (although misspelled as "Rose" on label!) playing "Don't You Wanna Know?" and "Believe Me, Dear." Both sides recorded in Savannah, GA on 8-22-27, as are all sides recorded by Ross de Luxe for Victor. (Catalog #21537 was not released until 1928.) Band member Margaret Miller does vocal honors on "A" side. You'll hear beautiful, airy acoustics of the Victor 'field' travels for local Southern talent. Rust notes in his Jazz book the label error, but then goes on to make one himself by spelling "Syncopators."
THIS IS THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR THE COLLECTOR WHO HAS JUST ABOUT ALL THOSE VICTOR SCROLLS. Or treat yourself to a Victor rarity.
Included is original Orthophonic Victrola sleeve in Spanish.
Scan #3 on left side of record might fool someone into thinking grooves are stripped or gray. There is NO groove damage or distortions/blasting whatsoever. Again, new minus-dealer stock material here!
