Description
As the first sentence on the inside box cover reads: "This is my attempt to present The Jazz Scene, as it exists today, (the recordings in this album took place between 1948 and 1949), in the best possible fashion." Norman Granz goes on to say "The idea behind this album was simple: to get the artists best illustrating today's jazz scene to record the essence of themselves musically."
This is a 2-record set: Clef Records, Long-Playing Microgroove - Jazz at the Philharmonic, Inc. Records are in Excellent shape. Sleeves are in Excellent shape. The black box/album is in Excellent shape except for a small tear at the bottom of the spine.
