(CRI 193 A/B) in 1962.  Original maroon label with gold text (see photo)!  Includes the insert of liner note & photos of Partch's instrument inventions.  Made in the U.S.

*First of all, this copy is the original pressing of these seminal recordings, not the re-press that you see on the market more frequently.  In the world of modern composition, true innovation is a major hurdle for any artist and rarely comes to fruition in one's work.  Harry Partch is one of the few exceptions.  He not only invented and built highly unique, giant sculptural instruments (often made from recycled materials), but Partch also created his own 43-tone-to-the-octave musical scale.  Harry Partch was a genuine visionary, creating incomparable music that was truly new, and doing so unpretentiously, both major rarities in the 20th century art music world.*

The thick Vinyl is visually-graded in VG+ condition.  When looked at under a bright light, the record shows a very rich luster and a few, very light surface marks.

The Cover is graded in VG- condition, due to a seam-split across 6 inches of the bottom, a 4-inch repaired seam-split across the top, and significant seam & edge wear.  Despite these blemishes, the cover still does look quite nice.

Shipping is calculated by ebay at the actual cost for you, the consumer. I don't charge any extra fees for material or handling.

For combined shipping, please add $1 for each additional LP you purchase. If you buy many records from me, I can ship them all together in one box, and charge you the actual cost I pay at the post office.  International  customers, please keep in mind that once you reach 4 pounds (roughly 4 LPs+), 1st Class International is no longer a shipping option, and you must ship Priority or Express.

Insurance is your option as a buyer. International customers, please keep in mind that you can only insure your item if you ship Express, which can be very expensive. Please contact me if you would prefer this option.
