Description
THE BEATLES with Tony Sheridan - Cry For A Shadow / Why
OZ Polydor single NH-52275 released May 1964
When the Beatles record sales went ballistic in Australia in early 1964,
and with the band due to tour mid year, Polydor who owned the rights
to the Hamburg recordings with Tony Sheridan issued some singles to cash in.
none were significant hits and are hence very hard to find. Shadow is written by
Harrison -Lennon and is actually an instrumental.
record is visually VG. Shadow plays perfectly, whilst Why plays nearly so, with
there being one pop in the last second of the fade and another about a second later.
record has the release date 29/05/64 written on both sides and
"MAY 1964" also on a side (see scan). Comes in original paper sleeve.
