CHARLIE PARKER  GYPSY  D-1023 in dead wax  DIGGEN DIZ D-1000 in dead wax  TEST PRESSINGS ( Dial label) I assume this test pressing was made for a "collector". I have not been able to locate another 78 with these 2 sides together. The 78 is the of the thicker shellac variety so I assume it pressed in the early '50s.
For some Reason The song title on the Diggen Diz label is wrong. It is written as "Lover" but it is "Diggen Dizz" Dial 1000. I'm pretty sure the artists on the label are wrong to. After looking them up I assume they should be…. Diggin' For Diz Alto Saxophone – Charlie ParkerBass – Ray BrownDrums – Stan LeveyGuitar – Arvin GarrisonPiano – George HandyTenor Saxophone – Lucky ThompsonTrumpet – Dizzy Gillespie
CONDITION:  VG or better BOTH SIDES LOOK VG++. THEY BOTH PLAY WITH SOME LIGHT BACKGROUND HISS. JUST LISTENING TO THEM I WOULD CALL THE DIGGEN DIZ A JUST PASSABLE VG+ & THE GYPSY VG (mainly because it is softer  music.)
I only cleaned them with some D4 diskwasher so perhaps if you have some kind of supersonic cleaning technique you can make them even better. You can hear them on my youtube clips below.

Grading

NM (Near Mint): Record and cover appear virtually unmarked.

VG++: Looks & plays just under near mint, may have just a very few visual marks

VG+ :  Used but not abused. Will likely have some relatively slight audible imperfections.

VG : Many only surface lines or may have a minor scratch .Some background sound but still enjoyable.

VG-: significant background sound from various defects but music always quite audible above it.

100% ACCURACY IN GRADING RECORDS IS A JOB FOR SUPERMAN!

At times defects will show up differently on different players.  For instance,

depending on the weight that a tone arm is set at or the quality of the stylus

what is just a pop on one player can sometimes be a skip on another

SO IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, BEFORE RATING ME ,

PLEASE CONTACT ME & LET ME TRY & FIX IT

Because although I may not be Superman, I'm certainly not Lex Luther.
