Up for auction is a unique painting of Ian Brown (formerly of The Stone Roses) in a classic pouting pose. It is skilfully executed by a critically acclaimed artist. A design partnership was set up after I was approached, by a fellow artist, at an exhibition I was holding in Huntington Beach (CA). We quickly became a highly lucrative team, with an exclusive client base. I studied art/design in England, progressing 7 years worth of studies in just 5, obtaining distinctions & a first class degree at university. I initially left England to marry my long-term Californian girlfriend, but loved the scene & found no reason to return. I have now lived here for 6 years, we have been running our business for 5.damien damian hurst paul weller mod retro popart britart britpop vespa lambretta spike island

Most of my paintings are additional pieces of work for our existing clients and are often bought for their bars & restaurants. I produce commission only work to clients' individual specifications, which ensures each piece is unique. We have had a number of well known customers, probably more well known around Huntington/Newport (Orange County, CA). There will be some from UK who know them too. One client commissioned a 9 x 6 foot painting of himself for his home. This cost him $1399 (USD). Prices generally vary from approx $899-1699.second coming alan reni wren gary mani mountfield john squire the seahorses

The piece up for auction was an intended wedding gift for a client (also a good friend of mine). His fiancee, originally from Manchester (UK), a huge Stone Roses fan, adores I'm Brown. Unfortunately, they didn't end up getting married, so I still have it. Beautifully mounted, using the highest quality materials, meticulously painted, in classic black/white & warm grays, this piece has a modern design which, in such a size, will make a fine centerpiece to any living space & the topic of conversation for all visitors. It has been made with the intention of hanging in a simple frame, which I would personally add, although it is not essential.death in vegas chemical brothers beatles

I was extremely apprehensive about selling my artwork online. I am an eBay hobbyist and am actually using one of my personal IDs to sell this. I have hidden my feedback comments (they're not really relevant), & I'm sure you will all know how to check my rating etc. It is very easy to mislead buyers, there are lots of cons & fakes on here. It is very easy to appear like a good quality seller by using software (cheaply available on eBay) to look like a professional business. I have also researched into similar work available here, it just seems to be art students supplementing their grants by selling below average pieces. Sellers often cut + paste photos so it appears like they have featured in galleries, make the painting appear larger than it really is & reproduce the same paintings again & again. All this can be done without any design experience or skills. I want to be set apart from this type of seller, I don't know any artists who would mass produce work like this. I also need to keep it seperate from my actual business. It's not strictly part of it & would do more harm than good if the time wasters & jokers who plague auction sites were able to clog up my website too. These are the reasons why I have chosen a simple listing, trusting the quality of work to appeal to the right buyer. With my qualifications it would be too easy for me to distract viewers using spinning logos & cursor trails.james brown tim burgess the charlatans bob marley jimi hendrix booth jackson pollock

It is a specifically designed piece & the demand for this type of image isn't as great here as it might be in UK. I brought it over on my last visit so it can be listed & shipped in UK. I will sell worldwide, but it may have to be taken off the frame to send. It's not the ideal thing to do to good paintings, but I might consider it as an option. I definitely won't be selling any other work on eBay. All my pieces were private commissions, so I don't have any spare to sell. I really don't feel eBay is the right place to trade good quality art. This really is your only chance to own a picture of this quality & I must apologise for the poor photographs (they really don't do it justace), I left my camera behind so had to use my phone. I have shown someone in the photograph with the painting so you can see the size. rolling stones made of stone fools gold one love waterfall walsall blackpool elephaont one love garage flower complete turns into stone
