VERY rare late sixties-early seventies funk masterpiece 45 featuring LARRY ELLIS and BLACK HAMMER on the AL KING RECORDS label out of New York.  Titles are “FUNKY THING – I” and “FUNKY THING - II.”   

This record was issued without a catalog number.  Matrix numbers are Playboy 555-R and Playboy 666-R.  Label is black with silver print.   

Condition is a very strong EX.  I would grade EX+ except for a very small, slight warp which is almost unnoticeable and does not affect the playing.  Labels are clean and pristine.  The gloss is brilliant and full.  There are a couple very slight marks that do not affect the playing, nothing serious.  Overall it is a beautiful disc, one of the nicest copies you will ever see.  I have provided sound clips from this actual record so that you can hear the quality of both sides.
