JOHNNY YOUNG – FAT MANDOLIN
(Blue Horizon (UK) LP, S-7-63852, 1970) EX/EX+
Rare, rare UK release from this Chicago blues mandolinist on this collectable label. An absolutely knockout session with a great electric band (incl Otis Spann on piano). Cover fine except a slight bending and fraying near the spine and a few thumbprints on the matt black back cover. Record is immaculate and glistens like new (it’s a fantastic pressing too, it has to be said, as UK LPs from the late 60s to early 70s tend to be).
