Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ Please inquire about rates. • USA - (red big E) ELEKTRA - EKS 7404

RARE, IN demand! the UNCENSORED :
Kick Out The Jams Motherfuckers version!

Strange one, the thick gatefold cover removes the "Motherfucker" liner notes but ADDS a HIGHLY scarce MC-5 custom sticker on the front cover! Seen only a couple times!

UNCENSORED version: The "Motherfuckers" scream on vinyl is THERE! ORIGINAL 1968 FIRST PRINT VINYL in thick gatefold cover.

The UNCENSORED VINYL: "Kick Out The Jams Motherfuckers " :  1968 LP of legend!

    <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
The legendary 1968 anti-establishment MC-5 and their message to the youth culture. Warning: this album contains possible offensive beliefs and language, such as the word "motherfuckers" shouted out not only in the audio but stated in the liner notes as well. On the "BIG E red" Elektra Records label of '68. Advise: Keep this record from the sight of those who appose to its content, otherwise things could get ugly - or worse.

    <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

    The mighty FIVE's incendiary
1968 attack on the system with the call out to R-I-S-E.....

The much wanted notorious original '68 pressing that ended very quickly when consumer complaints rolled into corporate Elektra complaining regarding offensive material on one of their catalog items. Elektra concerns of major retail stores boycotting their label, quickly withdrew the "obscene" record version and replaced it with an edit omitting the offensive text and audio language from the record, and all was right again in the world for spike and his
flag-waving establishment cohorts who were 'saved' in suppressing such alarming content within this surviving original non-censored copy.

The original Elektra Records inner sleeve is included

"The MC5 not only talked about revolution, we believed it," guitarist Wayne Kramer recalled. "The part about destroying the government and taking over and shooting it out with the pigs and all that--that didn't work. But the other part about the concept of possibilities, the revolution of ideas--that has changed the world."

Indeed, the power of those ideas remains undiminished on the group's notorious album, its 1968 debut, "Kick Out the Jams."

"When the Detroit uprising jumped off, we thought the beginning of the end had arrived, and we were busy planning for the 'post-revolutionary construction' which would start with the victory of the insurrection," MC5 manager John Sinclair reflects -- "But the fantasy ended with the brutal suppression of the slave revolt in the streets and the gun-butts of the National Guard and U.S. Army troops who beat our door down and threatened to shoot us all on the spot." The musicians of the MC5 would later say that they'd always been less interested in fomenting revolution than in being a great rock band. And in the end, it was the MC5's music that was the most revolutionary.

    CONDITION:

  •  The cover: rated: near "EX" (excellent) The thick cover, is solid everywhere: lightly handled over the past 50 years, has a rare custom MC5 sticker on front cover, seldom seen!  ...the front is clean, the insides group cover is M- top and the back cover is VG++ slight wear at top center but nothing bad or near bad in fact. Pretty decent altogether as a keeper collectible! This is normally a wear prone cover, so this is pretty much a decent upper levels copy. The colors are still bright, No split seams, no bends, no writing , no delete marks... collection addition!

The vinyl: Rated: is all glossy all over, near M-  with MINT audio playback ALL throughout. Has clean 'big E red' labels ...100% (uncensored) first print!

Note: depending on which Elektra pressing plant, both initial pressings of this LP, either the  red big "E" or "gold" labels were manufactured with uncensored language, and not for long, in a matter of a few weeks (1968) THIS notorious pressing was withdrawn from stores and re-released with the "public safe" "Brothers & Sisters" lyrics.
Again, this is the 'Mother F...ers' vinyl first pressing!
