Description
Grateful Dead self-titled debut Lp released on Warner Bros. Records, 1967. Sacred GOLD Label! Cover still in SHRINK grades tight VG+ with slight ring wear through shrink on back side; front side looks VG++; details: shrink torn about 2" front near center; rest is intact; torn off price sticker (white semi- circle on front); tiny metal rivet hole (about 1/8" top left corner); edge wear at opening. Very HIGH glossy MONO vinyl grades strong VG+ because of some lite marks and few long hairlines; no deep scratches ; plays VG++ nice with little if any background noise, mostly in quite parts. Comes with the original Warner ad insert, too. Excellent package at a great starting price....NO Reserve!! Truly a treasure and keeper for most; you will be satified!
Note: Sticker on cover is peel-off Post-it and in no way affects the quality of the surface.

Visual grading scale is strict under strong light source, and follows this format:
- Sealed: unopened
- Mint: opened with no marks to vinyl, lite or otherwise. Cover: no marks or dings, no edge wear.
- Mint- one to two short/lite hairlines on vinyl; play totally unaffected; cover has a couple imperfections, maybe a slight ding or slight edge wear; that's all.
- Excellent: vinyl has lite/short 5-6 hairlines which do not affect play; cover has few more marks or very faint evidence of ring wear; very lite soilage.
- VG++ vinyl has few longer/more obvious hairlines and maybe couple needle marks and/or a single light scratch which is not deep; overall play is very slightly affected; cover can have a little more edge wear, more dings, faint ring wear.
- VG+ vinyl has lots of hairlines and a few (5-6) obvious scratches; play is affected by some background noise, occasional pop, but not excessive; cover has ring wear, edgewear, soilage, lite writing, slight edge tears or seam break.
- VG vinyl has lots of hairlines and more scratches with sound with pops and crackle; cover has heavy ring wear, heavy soilage, large writing, minor H20 affect, seam break, but still intact and looks ok from a distance.
- VG- vinyl is heavy with hairlines and scratches both; plays through but for listening to get the idea for the music until another copy comes along. Cover is still intact, but is distracting with heavy ringwear, heavy soilage, seam splits, etc.
Notes will be made on high end items and play grading (on high-end Thorens turntable with gold Grado cartridge) will be committed on some items if it becomes a factor. Please inquire if you have questions. Good Luck!
