VARIOUS "Ayrshire Folk" (Deroy 1052) original UK 1974 pressing
BEYOND RARE! From the ultra-collectable DEROY private pressing label (responsible for MIKE STEVENS (MIKE STEVENS?), MOTHS, ENGLAND, CANDIDA PAX, ODD SOCKS, DAVE CORBETT, KLOFTANS, BABY SUNSHINE, FAIRY'S MOKE, VILLAGERS, A PARCEL OF FOLK, DAVE KRISS, SWINDLEFOLK etc etc) comes this collection of folk from the AYR FOLK CLUB from December 1973. All are excellent studio recordings, not live recordings from the club. Artists such as SPEEDY & IAN, TANNINZIE, JOHN CLEGG & DAVE STRATHIE, DOUGIE BELL etc. all photographed on the cover. Standout track for me is PETE & HEATHER HEYWOOD sounding reminiscent of ANNE BRIGGS... A mix of traditional and contemporary material, lovely stuff and barely documented.
A must for any serious folk collection!

CONDITION : VG/EX+ (Sleeve/Record)
DESCRIPTION : Nice copy - disc has a few ultra-light surface scuffs - looks played once or twice - nice sheen. Labels pristine. The sleeve is very flimsy, although laminated with flipback - and has sticker damage on the front as can be seen from the photo. Spine has some wear, almost inevitable since it's so thin. Still a very presentable copy.

POSTAGE : 12"s/LPs : £4.00 (UK), £5.50 (Europe) and £8.00 (Rest of World) / 7”s/CDs : £1.50 (UK), £2.50 (Europe) and £3.50 (Rest of World). Double vinyl counts as two etc. Each additional record charged at half price. Orders over £30 must be sent Special Delivery at extra cost of £5.
SMALL PRINT : I am first and foremost a collector, and grade strictly as I wish everyone would. Records will be well-packed between cardboard, and sent in record mailers. In the interests of the environment, these will be recycled whenever possible. Albums will be removed from outer sleeve to avoid seam splits in transit. All records are sent with a certificate of posting, if you wish additional insurance please ask – I cannot be held responsible for missing parcels.
