This is a scarce copy of Keith Jarrett's astounding release from 1978. Recorded in five cities in Japan, it yielded ten LPs of recordings; ECM put together a lavish box set complete with bound-in photo album. All Music Guide says this about it:
"This gargantuan package -- a ten-LP set...all of it improvised on the wing before five Japanese audiences in Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo, and Sapporo. Yet the miracle is how consistently good much of this giant box is. In the opening Kyoto concert, Jarrett's gospel-driven muse is in full play, up to the level of his peak solo performances in Bremen and Koln, and the Osaka and Nagoya concerts have pockets of first-rate, often folk-like, even profound, lyrical ideas. The Tokyo concert takes a while to get in gear, but when Jarrett finally locks into one of his grooving vamps, he carries us along, and there is a memorably melodic encore. In Sapporo, Jarrett breaks from a nicely flowing pattern into a jumpy rhythm that reminds one of C&W guitar fingerpicking, and there's some exuberant barrelhouse stuff and outbreaks of dissonance in part two. Each concert is placed on a single CD, while the much briefer sixth disc is reserved for the encores from Nagoya, Tokyo, and Sapporo... If price is not a barrier, the Jarrett devotee need not hesitate." Yup.

I would grade the records as EX. I could find no evidence of damage on any disk, just faint bits of dust. The box has a bit of shelf-wear and very minor chipping along one edge, as well as two corners being faintly bumped. The interior is excellent with two exceptions: a previous owner blind-stamped their name into the corners of two pages. All else looks great.

• All items are sold strictly “as-is”. No guarantee is made unless explicitly stated otherwise. We do not accept returns or give refunds for any reason other than misrepresentation.
• We will write the high bidders within a day of the auction end with a total which includes shipping.
• We charge as close to possible to the actual shipping cost; we do not charge anything for packing or “handling”.
• We must receive proper payment within five (5) days of the auction end.
• “Handling” time may take as long as 10 days, especially for items that require purchasing or making a special shipping carton.
• We prefer to ship via USPS Priority Mail (the less time in the hands of the Post Office, the better), but try to economize for larger items, books and international shipping, so we will work with you to get the best rate. We will only ship through UPS if the item is large and/or heavy, and UPS is substantially cheaper than the USPS.
• Due to the increasing frequency of the USPS damaging items, we will not ship any item that sells for more than $50 without insurance. This is for your protection; we make no profit from it. $50 of insurance costs only $2.20, and higher coverage is incrementally more, but still quite reasonable.
• International buyers: please be aware that we cannot always insure items shipped outside of the United States. All purchases are shipped entirely at your own risk.
• If we do not receive payment within five days of our invoicing you, we will file an eBay Non-Paying Bidder Report, post negative feedback and re-list the item, or offer it to the under-bidder.
• If you have negative feedback due to non-payment, we will not accept your bid. By bidding on our items, you are agreeing to these terms.
