Description

For sale is an exemplary copy of Jam Session #5 on the deep groove baby blue Clef Records "Black Trumpeter" label, MG C-4005. This was an all-star jam session featuring the likes of Roy Eldridge, Johnny Hodges, Oscar Peterson, etc., featuring wonderful illustration on the front by David Stone Martin. Cover rates NM, the only major flaw being a bump in the lower left hand corner (see photo). Vinyl rates VG+++... just a few superficial marks short of NM. A great copy of this scarce lp. Please see my other auctions for some more scarce first pressing early jazz lps up this week, all from the same beautifully-kept collection and all starting at $19.95 with no reserve.
