Description
I'm also auctioning a Led Zep II album with the "livin' lovin' wreck" misprint and Lemon Song credit
Rare early copy of the self titled Led Zeppelin debut album with turquoise lettering on the cover. I'm not a collector or dealer so I'll describe the condition honestly and if you require further info or more photos then please just ask.
Cover- light edge wear and corner wear but no splitting and spine is fully legible. Some creases, especially by the open side of the sleeve, laminate lifting at the spine but laminate fully intact. Some light ring wear on both sides.
Vinyl- quite a few light surface marks, some more noticeable than others but nothing that makes it skip or pop. Sound quality is fairly crackly, it's noticeable on the quieter parts but not too bad during the louder parts, maybe it could be improved with a thorough clean. Matrix numbers are 588171 A//1 and 588171 B//1 - the second figure 8 on each side looks to be scratched out then scratched in again by hand, don't know if this makes any difference.
Labels- colours look unfaded, some light spindle marks and some minor scratches on side one that look to have been caused by a stylus. Tracks 1, 2 & 4 on side one and tracks 1, 2, 3 & 5 on side two are credited to SUPERHYPE MUSIC with the remaining tracks credited to Jewel Music.
Inner Sleeve- starting to yellow and wrinkle but both paper sleeve and polythene inner are intact and untorn.

Postage and Packing: P&P includes 1st class post plus packing materials where appropriate. I re-use packaging where possible in order to minimise costs to you. All goods are sent in plain packaging with no indication of contents. A note will be included detailing the purchase and giving my contact details. I obtain proof of posting for every item but I recommend recorded delivery to ensure your item reaches you safely. I'll assist in any claim for goods lost in the mail but cannot accept any responsibility if your goods are not insured.
Overseas Bidders: If you ask me in plenty of time before auction end I will find out postage costs to your location. If you cannot pay £GBP by paypal or cash then I'd appreciate it if you could contact me before bidding to discuss arrangements, I'll try to be flexible, but only if you have the courtesy to ask first.
On 16-Oct-04 at 22:15:29 BST, seller added the following information: After a discussion with another ebayer (thanks Paul) it may be possible that this is an even rarer pressing of this album due to the C1 prefix to the matrix number and the crossed out 8s which other copies don't seem to have. If anyone has further info then please get in touch, I'd love to know. The full matrix numbers are as follows: Side One C1 588171 A//1 1 2 Side Two 1 1 588171 B//1 1 8 (the last figure is a bit indistinct, could be an 8 or an S) Thanks for looking!
