Description
Here is a great one for rockabilly collectors. Very rare and killer rockabilly 45 featuring L.C. SMITH and the SOUTHERN PLAYBOYS on the WANGO label from 1957. Titles are “RADIO BOOGIE” and “HONEYMOON ON A ROCKET SHIP.”
This is an original stock copy with white label and red print. Catalog number is Wango 1611. I found this gem about 6 months ago in a platter pack full of vintage singles rescued from a Baltimore area house cleanout. There was a second L.C. Smith single in the collection which I am also listing this week.
The record grades a gorgeous NEAR MINT MINUS with brilliant full original gloss, has one very slight minor scuff (not audible) otherwise looks like it just came home from the record shop. Plays outstandingly with awesome fidelity. Labels are totally clean. I provided sound clips so you can better appreciate the sound quality of these killer sides. I know the winning bidder is going to be very pleased with this rarity in top condition.
