Description

An original very 1st press of ZSATSFM on the UK RCA label from 1972. Matrix 1E/1E - very 1st cut. Please note that this is the earliest version available with 'Titanic' publishing credits. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover without mention of Mainman. Also included is the original inner sleeve with lyrics. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has only see light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few light marks per side - absolutely nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with two slightest deviations. A beautiful player which, thankfully, plays very nice and clean throughout. Little to find fault with really. I'm picking up nothing more than a few minor crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side [e.g. toward the end of RnR Suicide]. Whether it's the slow-build moments or the quiet acoustic numbers this baby delivers it clean. It's a lovey player - a keeper for sure. The only deviations are a couple of low-level ticks on side 1, and two more as 'Lady Stardust' starts up [both are extremely limited in nature]. Overall an impressive rendition which you'd struggle to better. PLEASE NOTE - one of the labels is signed.
Cover (Ex-) Difficult to find in top-level condition, but this example has clearly been looked after down the years. Very nice clean and unworn front - much better than what tends to surface. The rear is looking equally good with just a couple of light creases in the top right corner. Edge wear is pretty light for this title. The spine is good too with just a touch of lightest wear in a couple of spots. I spotted a few letters that were illegible out of quite a long album title. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) A couple of edge splits have been taped up. Light ageing. Not too bad all in all.
